Day 1: Cairo

Get ready for a week filled with ancient history, culture, and adventure as you arrive in Cairo. After checking in, you’ll have the afternoon and evening to venture out and explore Egypt’s bustling capital city!

Day 2: Cairo

Today, the group will get to experience Egypt’s most iconic sights, including the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. After a day of exploring, you’ll head back to the hotel before joining the group to catch an overnight sleeper train to Luxor.

Day 3: Luxor

The group arrives in Luxor this morning. Transfer to your hotel before setting out to visit Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple. After a day filled with incredible experiences, relax at the hotel in Luxor tonight.

Day 4: Luxor

Today, the West Bank of Luxor is on the itinerary. You’ll visit the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. After a day of exploring the area which, millenia ago, was the ancient city of Thebes!

Day 5: Edfu - Fazwa Island

This morning, the group will enjoy a leisurely breakfast before boarding a Dahabiya Nile Cruise. Enjoy the views and experiences as you sail to Edfu and Fazwa Island. In the evening, the group will be free to find a spot to enjoy dinner.

Day 6: Gebel el-Silsila

Enjoy the sights and sounds of the Nile as the cruise continues towards Gebel el-Silsila. Explore the temple and surrounding area before heading back to the cruise which will be beautifully illuminated at nightfall!

Day 7: Kom Ombo

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast this morning as the boat continues towards Kom Ombo. Explore the temple before heading back to the cruise to continue sailing towards an enchanting island location.

Day 8: Aswan

Today the tour sails onwards to Aswan, the gateway to southern Egypt. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to visit Philae Temple and the Unfinished Obelisk. Relax on the deck as you conclude your magical cruise and take in the remarkable views.

Day 9: Aswan Free Day - Abu Simbel add-on

The group can look forward to a free day in Aswan where you can choose to take an optional excursion to Abu Simbel. In the evening, the tour will regroup and head to the train station for an overnight sleeper train back to Cairo.

Day 10: Cairo

Arrive at the train station early this morning where you’ll be transferred to the hotel. After breakfast, enjoy a day of exploring Cairo at your own pace. Don’t miss the chance to visit the bustling markets (Khan el-Khalili). This is what Cairo vacations are all about!

Day 11: Cairo - Alexandria add-on

After breakfast this morning, your group will have the opportunity to visit Alexandria (optional add-on). Discover the ancient library, catacombs, and the stunning Mediterranean coastline. Be sure to communicate your plans and any additional details to your tour guide before leaving tomorrow.

Day 12: Cairo

Today the group bids farewell to Egypt after one last breakfast in Cairo. Transfer to the Cairo airport with memories that will last a lifetime! Safe onward travels!
